HARRISBURG, PA – If you were planning a trip to the DMV this coming weekend, you may need to adjust your schedule. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has officially announced that all driver license and photo centers will be closed in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday.
"All driver license and photo centers, including its full-service center in Harrisburg, will be closed Saturday, February 14, 2026, through Monday, February 16, 2026."
Key Closure Dates
All driver license and photo centers, including the full-service center located in Harrisburg, will be closed on the following days:
- Saturday, February 14, 2026
- Sunday, February 15, 2026
- Monday, February 16, 2026
Centers are expected to resume normal business hours on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Skip the Line: Online Services Available 24/7
While the physical locations are closed, PennDOT’s digital doors remain wide open. Customers can still access a variety of driver and vehicle services through the PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services website.
The online portal is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and allows you to complete several tasks without leaving your home, including:
- Renewing your Driver’s License or Photo ID.
- Renewing Vehicle Registrations.
- Requesting Driver-History services.
- Changing your address.
- Paying restoration fees for licenses or insurance.
- Ordering duplicate licenses or IDs.
- Scheduling driver exams.
Note: There are no additional fees for using online services, making it the most convenient way to handle your paperwork during the holiday break.
Important Reminder: REAL ID
